DMS manufactures parts for the electrical distribution, hydrogen and other energy industries.

About the Role:

We are looking for a manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you would lead the company to develop more efficient systems to produce quality parts. Be involved in training new employees, coordinate the production schedule with customer needs. Maintain at least 10-15% profit growth per year.

Who We’re Looking For:

You’ve been in manufacturing for 10+ years with experience managing people. Ideally, you’ve been on machines and have some programming experience. You’re confident you have the ability (proven or potential) to manage an entire shop, including people, programming, projects, and budgets. Your goal is to grow a company from $1M company to a $3-5M company.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, Manage and Execute the day-to-day activities
• Monitor P&L, quality and production efficiency
• Manage tooling, fixtures and programs
• Work directly with customers for delivery, cost and problems
• Set production schedules for shop leaders
• Evaluate employee performance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor / Associate degree in engineering or apprenticeship in related field
• 10 years manufacturing experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
• Experience managing a contract manufacturing shop of custom parts, 1pc to 3,000pc
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
• Experience managing a budget of $1-$3M
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Programming capability: auto cad, master cam, surf cam, smart cam, G code, conversational controls
