We are looking for a full time Legal Assistant to join our growing commercial lending department in our Fort Washington PA office.
Transactional experience with financial institutions, commercial lending, title work, or SBA lending is a big plus; willingness to work as part of the team is a necessity.
This position is suitable for someone with good written communication skills who either currently has, or is working towards, a degree beyond high school. Due to ongoing public health concerns, position is currently partially remote and partially in-office.
Salary dependent on experience.
Legal Assistant Job Duties:
- Keeps matters organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; monitoring and saving emails; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into practice management software; communicating matter status with attorney.
- Helps prepare loan matters by collecting due diligence, printing and saving documents, recording documents, ordering titles and searches.
- Drafts and edits documents as directed.
- Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact; communicating loan progress.
- Helps prepare for loan closings by organizing and sending loan documents, arranging for notaries, and confirming wire instructions.
- Reviews executed loan documents; organizes and delivers executed documents to clients; follows up on post-closing issues.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
- Assists other team members as needed.

Software Used:
Working knowledge of the tools in the Microsoft Office suite as well as familiarity with video conference calls is expected. In addition, we use Worldox for document management, PDFdocs for document preparation and PracticeMaster for case management. Knowledge of these programs is a plus.
