Position Summary
The Staff Accountant of accounts payable will be responsible for processing, tracking, and recording payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This role will strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments. The position requires a high degree of detail-orientation and communication skills.
This role is based out of our worldwide headquarters located in Eagan, Minnesota.
Primary Responsibilities
- Update, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to reflect company’s current financial status
- Post business transactions, process invoices, process payments, verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
- Verify and process expense reports
- Deposit checks and apply payments
- Track and submit state sales tax returns timely and accurately
- Manage expense reporting software and train new users
- Internal collaboration with purchasing and receiving
- Maintain vendor information (including W9 forms) and reconcile vendor statements
- Process, distribute and file 1099’s
- Assist in preparation of year-end audit
Key Deliverables
- Complete month end sales tax payments
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors
- Help build a positive, open culture that encourages and rewards cooperation and collaboration
Essential Education, Skills & Experience
- College degree in accounting or related business major
- Prior general ledger experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Detail orientated with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Experience using ERP systems
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central ERP system
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now
