Urology Associates (UA) in Nashville, TN, is seeking self-motivated, positive, friendly faces to join our Care Teams as a Care Coordinator (Surgery Scheduler) at our Charlotte Avenue office in Nashville. Interested candidates should be able to multi-task with a smile and work well under pressure. We are a Specialist office, but don't stress! We will educate you on everything you need to know about urology and how to give the best patient care possible.

Job Description:

• Maintain and organize Providers surgery schedules
• Obtain Prior Authorization/Pre-Determination when required for all Hospital cases
• Obtain benefits and OOP expense for patient – also explain those benefits to patients
• Coordinate cases with outside facilities, maintain professional relationships with outside facility staff
• Send surgery/radiology orders to facilities and/or provide online orders when required
• Request clearance for surgery i.e. Cardiac and/or medication holds from corresponding provider.
• Communicate efficiently with providers
• Cover other positions in the office when needed
• Maintain hospital billing for providers
• Maintain stent and pathology logs
• Maintains faxes (disperses faxes to appropriate person)
• Answers patient calls and messages

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years or more of medical assistant experience is preferred (but not required)
• Urology experience is preferred (but not required)
• Surgery scheduling experience strongly preferred
• Experience with insurance authorizations strongly preferred
• Experience with EHR systems preferred (but not required)
• Prior experience in Availity strongly preferred
• Basic Computer Skills needed, including Outlook and Chrome
