Surgery Scheduler responsibilities:

• Initiates surgery scheduling process from surgical orders
• Organize and obtain pre-op clearances
• Prioritizes and coordinates with surgical facilities, insurance companies, physicians, and patients to schedule surgery according to resource availability and urgency
• Documents all processes and interactions
• Maintains reliable attendance, punctuality, and productivity during work shift
• Follows company policies, procedures, and values to contribute to company culture
• Ability to communicate well with patients, peers, surgeons, and surgical partners in a respectful and professional manner that supports a team-oriented work environment
• Obtain prior authorization for all surgeries
• Collect deductibles, co-insurance, and co-pays

Qualifications/Experience:

· Clinical Orthopedic experience is preferred

· Minimum of 2 years current surgery scheduling required

· Highly organized with excellent communication and strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
