We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team located in Sausalito, California. In this role, you will be tasked with performing a variety of accounting functions, ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting department. Your duties will involve managing a small team, recording month-end entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting in budget preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the performance of a small accounting team, ensuring efficient operation

• Record month-end entries for accruals and the amortization of pre-paid items

• Prepare and produce income statements, and handle sales tax interim and quarterly reports

• Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies

• Investigate and resolve issues or anomalies with reported transactions

• Reconcile inter-store account balances and bank accounts, and monitor bank activity

• Record inter-company transfers and manage banking relationships

• Make and record payments such as various taxes, debts, LLC payments, and more

• Assist in the preparation of budgets in collaboration with the Controller and Operations team

• Provide support for systems improvements and the implementation of new systems

• Track ongoing/recurring costs for various vendors including software, legal, and professional services

• Maintain the chart of accounts and other corporate information records

• Maintain both electronic and paper accounting filing systems

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of Accounting Manager/Supervisor or similar

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Knowledge of ERP

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience in Auditing

• Experience in Billing Functions

• Proficiency in Budgeting - Forecasting

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to prepare and analyze Income Statements

• Understanding of Amortization processes

• Experience with Monthly Accruals

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Bank Account Reconciliation
