Robert Half is in search of an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to add to our client's team, based in Stuart, Florida. The role will involve managing the organization's financial planning, budgeting, accounting practices, and record-keeping. You will also oversee financial and regulatory compliance, including insurance and outside CPA audits.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the organization's financial planning, budgeting, and accounting practices
• Develop and implement policies and procedures relating to financial management, budgeting, and accounting
• Monitor spending rates for multiple funding sources and adjust them as necessary
• Develop a budget forecasting process and provide financial analysis statements, including monthly balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and actual to-budget and last year's variance analysis
• Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timely submission of grant budgets and financial sections of all agency grant applications
• Develop, maintain, and analyze Policy and Procedures, Management Reports, Monthly Financial Statements, Budgets and Financial Plans, and Cash Flow Projections
• Manage the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, receivables, fixed assets, depreciation schedule, prepaid schedules, and allocation of administrative overhead expenses
• Prepare and monitor the agency's annual budget
• Coordinate audit preparation and annual audit
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and contractual guidelines
• Supervise agency financial activities, banking, and bank relations
• Complete Month End Accounting.
• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or related field
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is necessary
• Knowledge and experience with ADP - Financial Services is a requirement
• Ability to manage and oversee all Accounting Functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Auditing is preferred
• Understanding and experience in managing Billing Functions
• Proficiency in Budgeting and Forecasting is required
• Knowledge of Grant Accounting is a plus
• Ability to handle Month End Close processes efficiently
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
