We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Dealership Accounting Manager. The Auto Dealer Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting activities of the dealership, providing accurate and timely financial information, and providing strategic guidance to the leadership team to support operational improvements. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the dealership's financial functions, including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury.
- Direct and monitor the financial performance of the company by setting operational and financial objectives, preparing budgets, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain an effective system of accounting, budgeting, and internal control.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Provide status of the company's financial condition by interpreting and reporting key financial data.
- Prepare and present financial reports for management, directors, and shareholders.
- Work closely with the management team to plan, develop, organize, implement, and manage the fiscal function and performance of the company.
- Embrace and support the dealership's core values by demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and commitment to customer service.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- At least four years of experience in a "Buy-Here-Pay-Here" auto dealership Controller role.
- Strong understanding of dealership financial statements, including CDK and Dealertrack.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel.
- Exceptional leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data and develop financial plans and projections.
