LHH Recruitment Solutions is representing a client in the Kansas City area with an upcoming need to hire a skilled
Benefits Specialist to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable professional to manage and enhance the company's benefits programs, ensuring compliance, competitiveness, and employee satisfaction. Key Responsibilities include:- Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, providing clear and accurate information.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits administration, including COBRA, FMLA, and ACA.
- Head up the Open Enrollment process; assist in the development and communication of benefits programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits of benefits enrollment and data to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with HR, payroll, and external vendors to ensure smooth benefits administration.
- Monitor industry trends and stay knowledgeable regarding best practices to ensure the company’s benefits offerings remain attractive and competitive.
Qualifications needed:- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of benefits regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and ACA.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits information clearly.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and benefits administration software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:- Certification in Benefits (CBP, CEBS, or similar).
- Experience in a multi-state environment.
- Knowledge of wellness programs and initiatives.
