JOB – Mechanical Design Engineer

LOCATION – Allendale, NJ

TERM – Permanent

SALARY – $95,000 - $105,000 per annum.

My client, a leading manufacturer specializing in the design and production of high-quality machinery and equipment, is on the lookout for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis near Allendale, NJ.

The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of experience in the mechanical design of machine parts and sheet metals, with a strong focus on delivering innovative and efficient design solutions.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically with machine parts and sheet metals.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D Design using SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and material properties.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

The Mechanical Design Engineer's role will involve:

• Develop detailed mechanical designs for machine parts and sheet metal components.
• Create and review technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
• Utilize CAD software to create 2D and 3D models of parts and assemblies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Conduct design analysis and simulations to validate design concepts.
• Provide technical support and guidance throughout the manufacturing process.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
