Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design cutting-edge water pumps and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fluid dynamics, a deep understanding of hydraulic principles, and experience with SolidWorks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop:
- Design water pumps and systems, focusing on propeller and impeller pumps and nozzle discharges.
- Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings.
- Fluid Dynamics Expertise:
- Apply knowledge of fluid dynamics, including pump curves, head, velocity, pressure drop, friction loss, and NPSHr.
- Product Development:
- Design and test new products, ensuring they meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Develop and improve existing products to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Materials and Components:
- Select appropriate materials for projects, including various metals and plastics.
- Design molded components and source necessary parts and materials.
- Develop comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaboration and Innovation:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design with a focus on hydraulics.
- Proven experience in designing and developing hydraulic systems and components.
- Familiarity with materials engineering, specifically metals and plastics.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in SolidWorks and other CAD software.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and fluid dynamics.
- Additional Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Quick learner with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
