Job Title: Production Technician

Job Description

The Production Technician assembles and wires filtration units, working both independently and as part of a team within pneumatic, electrical, and plumbing departments. This role involves building filtration systems comparable in size to small HVAC units or generators, using hand and power tools, reading schematics, and contributing to a modern production environment.

Responsibilities

• Individually assemble filtration units from start to finish, ensuring all components fit and function correctly.
• Wire electrical components and connections according to schematics and production standards.
• Participate in team-based assembly of filtration units that are similar in size to small HVAC units or generators.
• Work within the pneumatic, electrical, and plumbing departments to complete assigned builds and subassemblies.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to guide assembly, wiring, and piping work.
• Assemble and build out piping systems, including work with copper and related plumbing materials.
• Use power tools, cutting tools, saws, drills, and bandsaws safely and efficiently during the assembly process.
• Inspect assembled units for quality, accuracy, and proper operation before completion.
• Follow production procedures, safety guidelines, and work instructions in a production environment.
• Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to meet production schedules and resolve assembly issues.

Essential Skills

• Strong assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to assemble and wire electrical components accurately and safely.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Proficiency using power tools, including saws, drills, and cutting tools.
• Experience working in electrical and mechanical assembly settings.
• Comfort working within pneumatic, electrical, and plumbing departments.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Plumbing experience, especially working with copper and building out pipe systems.
• Experience using bandsaws and other cutting equipment in a production setting.
• Experience in machine assembly or machine operation.
• Exposure to electrical work in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

This role is based in a production environment with a tech company atmosphere, working around filtration units roughly the size of small HVAC units or generators. You work on the shop floor using hand tools, power tools, cutting tools, saws, drills, and bandsaws. The work involves time in pneumatic, electrical, and plumbing departments, handling copper piping and electrical components. The environment is active and hands-on, with a focus on safety, adherence to procedures, and collaboration across assembly teams.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hawthorne, CA.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
