My client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team, within the non-profit industry, based in Alexandria, VA. The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role will have non-profit experience and be responsible for assisting with the month end close procedures, maintaining the general ledger accounts, reconciling balance sheet accounts, creating deferred revenue schedules, overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, monitoring daily cash balances, posting journal entries and assisting with other ad hoc projects. Daily responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:

·      Perform month-end close duties.

·      Create deferred revenue schedules.

·      Monitor daily cash balances.

·      General ledger maintenance.

·      Reconcile AP and AR accounts.

·      Prepare financial statements.

·      Research and maintaining compliance US GAAP.

The ideal Senior Accountant we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:

·      Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

·      3-4+ years of relevant accounting experience.

·      Understanding of US GAAP.

·      Non-profit experience, preferred.

·      Sage Intacct experience, a plus.
