Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility
- Valid state license (or the ability to obtain one prior to start)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but strong clinical skills from other settings considered
- Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify students with speech, language, voice, or fluency impairments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide direct therapy sessions, both individual and group, in accordance with IEP requirements
- Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to support generalization of communication goals in the classroom
- Maintain appropriate documentation, tracking student progress and making adjustments to treatment as necessary
