Responsibilities
Provide specialized instruction to students receiving special education services
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies based on student learning needs
Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation and records
Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavioral support plans as needed
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions
Support students' academic, social, emotional, and functional development
Utilize data-driven practices to improve student outcomes
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations 

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field
Active South Carolina Special Education Teaching License or eligibility to obtain licensure
Experience developing and implementing IEPs
Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Ability to effectively support students with a variety of disabilities and learning needs 

Preferred
Master's Degree in Special Education or related field
Previous school-based special education teaching experience
Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, or multiple disabilities
Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and progress monitoring tools
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
Familiarity with educational technology and classroom accommodations
