About the Opportunity
A well-established and growing financial services and CPA firm in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who wants to go beyond basic compliance and play a meaningful role in tax planning, client advisory, financial analysis, and long-term client relationships.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience preparing and reviewing complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns and be comfortable working independently with minimal supervisory oversight.

What You'll Do
Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
Ensure tax returns comply with applicable federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Research and interpret current tax laws, regulations, and guidance.
Identify and communicate tax planning opportunities to clients.
Provide tax planning and consulting related to business transactions, restructuring, and other financial decisions.
Prepare and analyze tax projections and estimates to help clients make informed financial decisions.
Review financial information and identify potential tax implications, risks, and opportunities.
Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients regarding tax-related questions, issues, and planning needs.
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
Collaborate with accounting and wealth management professionals to provide comprehensive client solutions.
Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Stay current with changes in federal and multi-state tax laws and compliance requirements.
Work independently on complex tax engagements while exercising sound professional judgment.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4+ years of relevant tax and accounting experience.
Proven experience preparing and reviewing complex US tax returns.
Strong experience with the following:
Individual / 1040
Corporate / 1120
S-Corporation / 1120-S
Partnership / 1065
Trust / 1041
Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state taxation and compliance requirements.
Demonstrated ability to independently complete complex tax returns with minimal supervisory review.
Experience with tax research, tax planning, and tax projections.
Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organization and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a client-focused environment.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA license and/or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation.
Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation.
Public accounting or CPA firm experience.
Experience advising business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
Experience with business transactions, entity restructuring, and tax planning.
Experience with Thomson Reuters UltraTax and Accounting CS.
Experience with other professional tax preparation software such as CCH Axcess, Lacerte, ProSystem fx, Drake, or similar platforms.
