We're hiring a Fabrication Associate to support a leading U.S. distributor of plumbing supplies, PVF, waterworks, and fire protection products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing, mechanical, automotive, diesel, maintenance, or equipment experience who wants to grow their skills in a fast-paced industrial environment.
In this role, you'll work with fabrication equipment, handle pipe materials, operate forklifts, and help ensure high-quality products are prepared safely and efficiently for customers across the country.
What You'll DoMove loose and bundled pipe throughout the shop and yard using material handling equipment.
Assemble customer pipe orders and maintain organized inventory and work areas.
Set up, operate, and maintain pipe fabrication machinery.
Measure, record, and cut pipe accurately using band saws, torches, and other fabrication equipment.
Thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines and related equipment.
Perform quality checks using tape measures, gauges, and inspection tools.
Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Follow established procedures for cutting, fabricating, assembling, stacking, and shipping products.
Conduct routine forklift inspections and report maintenance needs.
Support production goals while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
High School Diploma or GED.
6-8 months of recent experience working with machinery, manufacturing equipment, or mechanical systems.
Experience operating equipment such as:
Band saws
Automatic welding machines
Pipe threaders
Roll groove machines
Plasma cutting equipment
Pneumatic banders
Ability to accurately read and use tape measures.
Experience using gauges and measurement tools for quality inspections.
3-6 months of forklift experience.
Strong math skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills for operating automated equipment.
Ability to safely handle and move pipe ranging from ½" to 10" in diameter.
Experience in fire sprinkler pipe fabrication.
Previous pipe yard or fabrication shop experience.
