Test Technician
Pay: $27.00 per Hour
Schedule: First Shift
Monday - Thursday | 5:45 AM - 4:15 PM
Potential for up to 10 hours of mandatory overtime on Fridays
Position Overview
Join a team dedicated to producing high-quality medical testing equipment that supports healthcare professionals and patients worldwide. As a Test Technician, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing medical testing machines to ensure they meet performance, safety, and quality standards before shipment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician with experience in electrical testing, equipment repair, and manufacturing environments who takes pride in delivering quality work and solving technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical and functional testing of medical testing equipment following established procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical issues identified during testing.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- Conduct calibration, inspection, and quality control activities to verify product performance and compliance.
- Use hand tools and testing equipment including torque wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, and electronic meters.
- Accurately document testing results, repairs, and work performed in accordance with GMP, GDP, and DHR requirements.
- Ensure all products meet established quality, safety, and reliability standards before release.
- Collaborate with team members and participate in cross-training opportunities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or two-year technical degree.
- 2-4 years of experience testing, troubleshooting, or repairing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- 1-2 years of electrical testing and troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions.
- Experience using hand tools and electronic testing equipment.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in medical device manufacturing or another regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Device History Records (DHR).
- Background in technical assembly, engineering support, or equipment repair.
- Familiarity with electrical wiring, calibration, inspection processes, and quality systems.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a production environment.

Work Environment
This position is based in a clean, climate-controlled, and well-lit manufacturing environment. The role involves approximately 80% standing, 10% walking, and up to 10% sitting, with frequent bending and reaching. Employees work with advanced testing equipment and medical technology while following established quality and safety procedures. Required PPE includes safety glasses, protective smocks, ESD protection, and impact-resistant footwear.
