We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting operations and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in California. This role will lead key close activities, support audit readiness, and strengthen the integrity of the general ledger across multiple entities. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership capability, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Direct the monthly close cycle, ensuring deadlines are met and financial results are recorded accurately.
• Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and other supporting schedules tied to the general ledger.
• Oversee reconciliation activities for multiple subsidiaries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Lead monthly and quarterly financial review procedures to help maintain accurate and reliable financial statements.
• Coordinate quarterly and annual audit support, including preparation of documentation and responses to auditor requests.
• Produce supplemental monthly and quarterly reporting schedules for management and financial reporting needs.
• Administer and monitor the chart of accounts to support consistency, accuracy, and reporting requirements.
• Guide, coach, and develop accounting team members while promoting accountability and focused growth.
• Partner with management across departments to address accounting issues, communicate results, and support business priorities.• Certified Public Accountant designation required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Demonstrated experience managing month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Background supporting financial statement audits and working within a public company environment.
• Proficiency with leading enterprise accounting software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of management.
• Proven ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and adapt in a changing environment.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing accounting professionals.
