Job Description
The Mechanical Assembler plays a key role in building metal components into finished products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working at an individual assembly station, you will use hand and power tools to assemble the same product repeatedly throughout the shift, maintaining a steady production rate of approximately one assembly every 2.5 minutes. You will follow detailed work instructions or blueprints, perform basic quality checks, and handle assemblies weighing 30–35 lbs while standing for long periods. This role is well suited to someone who is comfortable with repetitive tasks, has strong mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble metal components into completed products at an individual station in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Use hand and power tools to build assemblies consistently and safely throughout the shift.
- Maintain a steady production pace of approximately one assembly every 2.5 minutes while meeting production goals.
- Follow work instructions, blueprints, and assembly line procedures to ensure correct assembly and part orientation.
- Perform basic quality inspections and self-check processes to verify measurements, parts, and overall assembly quality.
- Handle frequent lifting of assemblies weighing 30–35 lbs and move components as needed during the assembly process.
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy.
- Apply basic math skills to measure parts and verify dimensions and quantities.
- Adhere to workplace safety practices and ergonomic guidelines to minimize risk and maintain a safe work area.
- Accept direction and coaching from supervisors and adapt to process changes or improvements.
- Work effectively as part of a team while independently managing tasks at your assembly station.
- Contribute to a clean and organized assembly area within a large sheet metal and machine shop environment.

Work Environment
This role operates on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing a predictable four-day workweek. You will work in a large sheet metal environment with a dedicated assembly area and a small machine shop within the facility. The workspace is fairly clean and organized, though it is an industrial setting rather than a medical-grade environment. The position involves standing for long periods, performing repetitive tasks, and frequently lifting assemblies weighing 30–35 lbs while using hand and power tools at an individual assembly station.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
