Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance on a variety of industrial machines. This role involves working with punch presses, rewinders, thermoforming machines, and cartoning machines, ensuring their optimal performance through troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical and electrical maintenance on industrial machines, including punch presses, rewinders, thermoforming, and cartoning machines.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
• Work with voltages up to 480V and utilize troubleshooting skills for various electrical components.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Essential Skills

• Experience with mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• Ability to work with voltages up to 480V.
• Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Skilled in reading mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in repairing punch press machines.
• Experience in a food packaging manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

The position is located in a large food packaging facility with 32 punch presses and 10 bagging machines. The environment is loud, and candidates should be comfortable working in such conditions. The role operates on the first shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wheeling, IL.

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
