Job Title: Entry Level Order Picker | WEEKLY PAYJob Description
The Order Picker supports the production floor and engineering team by accurately pulling small-part products and delivering them to designated production lines. This role uses carts, bins, and pallet jacks to handle materials, relies on computer-based pick lists to guide daily tasks, and plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy and timely material flow throughout the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Pull small-part products from inventory and deliver them to assigned production lines in a timely manner.
- Use hand carts, bins, and automatic or manual pallet jacks to move and stage materials safely and efficiently.
- Access and use a computer system to identify, review, and print pick lists for daily orders.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, locations, and work orders to ensure accuracy of all picked materials.
- Walk up and down stairs to retrieve parts from the warehouse area and use the elevator to transport carts of products to the first floor.
- Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy and follow established processes for picking, packing, and kitting.
- Support material flow to the production floor by monitoring needs and responding quickly to requests.
- Lead by example in following safety, quality, and productivity standards to help ensure production needs are met on time.
- Use RF scanners to scan and track inventory and materials as required.
- Collaborate with supervisors, leads, and other team members to resolve material issues and improve workflow.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of order selection or kitting experience.
- Experience with inventory processes and strong attention to inventory accuracy.
- Warehouse experience required to be considered for the role.
- Ability to use RF scanners with at least 6 months of RF scanner experience.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, with 1 or more years of pallet jack experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills to identify and print pick lists and navigate inventory systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking stairs and moving carts and materials throughout the facility.
- Strong attention to detail when verifying part numbers, quantities, locations, and work orders.
- Ability to follow established safety procedures and material handling guidelines.
- Reliability and consistency in supporting production schedules and material flow.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a retail warehouse environment is preferred.
- Experience that is similar to curbside pickup roles, with experience handling and staging orders for customers or internal teams.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced production support environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with production and engineering teams regarding material needs.
- Willingness to learn inventory processes and grow into inventory-focused responsibilities over time.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse environment on the second floor adjacent to a large production area. The position follows a first-shift schedule, working Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will frequently move between floors, using stairs and elevators to transport materials to the production floor. The facility provides smocks and certain personal protective equipment, while safety shoes are required but not provided. Supervisors and leads are located upstairs and oversee material flow using computer systems. There is only one forklift on site, and temporary employees do not operate it, so material handling is primarily done with carts and pallet jacks. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and efficient material movement to support ongoing production.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
