As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll play a key role in managing projects from award through closeout, working alongside experienced industry professionals on technically complex and highly visible projects. What You'll Do
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support and lead all phases of construction projects while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.
Project Management & Execution
- Manage projects from purchase order through final delivery and closeout.
- Support planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and reporting activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Help develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestones are achieved on time.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Coordinate procurement activities and ensure materials and equipment arrive on schedule.
Team & Client Coordination
- Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication among all project participants.
- Coordinate field teams and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
- Foster a collaborative, safety-focused culture across project teams.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify quality standards and project compliance.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, company standards, and building codes.
- Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Support documentation and compliance efforts throughout project delivery.
Construction Administration
- Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and quantity take-offs.
- Maintain accurate project records and reporting.
- Provide regular project updates on schedule, budget, progress, and risk management.
- Utilize construction management software including Procore, MS Project, Sage, and Bluebeam.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of construction project management experience.
- Experience supporting or managing commercial construction projects, preferably within:
- Clean rooms
- Pharmaceutical facilities
- Semiconductor environments
- Healthcare facilities
- Manufacturing operations
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
- Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and construction documentation.
- Proficiency with MS Project, Procore, Sage, or similar project management platforms.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to jobsite safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification or similar project management credentials.
- Experience with high-tech, semiconductor, biopharmaceutical, or clean room construction.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam software.
- Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and LEED principles.
- Experience working with general contractors and cross-functional project teams
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brookfield, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
