Job Title: Clinical Research CoordinatorJob DescriptionThis role focuses on coordinating oncology clinical trials by supporting patient-facing activities and contributing to data and regulatory processes. The Clinical Research Coordinator will manage 2–3 patients per day, ensuring high-quality patient care while adhering to study protocols and regulatory requirements. The position involves working across multiple sites, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary research team, and helping to advance oncology research through accurate data collection and meticulous trial coordination.
Responsibilities- Screen, recruit, and consent patients for oncology clinical trials in accordance with study protocols and ethical guidelines.
- Manage approximately 2–3 patients per day, ensuring each patient receives clear information and support throughout their participation in the trial.
- Conduct patient study visits, including obtaining vital signs, performing electrocardiograms (EKGs/ECGs), and performing phlebotomy for required laboratory samples.
- Perform detailed chart reviews to identify eligible patients and verify clinical data for ongoing oncology trials.
- Support and contribute to data entry and query resolution in various electronic data capture (EDC) systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness of study data.
- Assist with regulatory activities in collaboration with the regulatory team, helping to maintain compliance with applicable guidelines and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate logistics for patient visits across multiple clinical sites, ensuring that schedules and resources align with protocol requirements.
- Travel to different clinical sites for patient visits, primarily focusing on the Glendale location while also supporting Long Beach and Fountain Valley as needed.
- Collaborate closely with clinical research coordinators, research assistants, data management staff, and regulatory staff to ensure smooth execution of approximately 45 active oncology trials.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with contract research organizations (CROs) and study sponsors, as needed, to support trial conduct and issue resolution.
- Follow established standard operating procedures and study-specific workflows to uphold data integrity, patient safety, and protocol compliance.
- Participate in training and onboarding activities at the designated training site to become proficient in site-specific processes, systems, and workflows.
Essential Skills- At least 2 years of experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator in oncology clinical trials.
- Demonstrated experience in screening, recruiting, and consenting patients for clinical studies.
- Proficiency in conducting study visits, including measuring vital signs, performing phlebotomy, and conducting ECGs/EKGs.
- Hands-on experience with chart review to assess patient eligibility and confirm clinical information.
- Strong understanding of oncology clinical research processes and trial conduct.
- Ability to manage multiple patients per day while maintaining high standards of accuracy and patient care.
- Willingness and ability to travel between multiple clinical sites for patient visits.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing study documentation and visit schedules.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, clinical teams, and external partners.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based within a busy oncology clinical research program that currently manages approximately 45 active trials. The team includes full-time and part-time Clinical Research Coordinators, research assistants, data management staff, and regulatory staff, with additional project management support. You will train initially at a central training site in Cerritos and then primarily support the Glendale location, with additional coverage at sites in Long Beach and Fountain Valley. The position requires regular travel between these locations for patient visits. Standard work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The environment is
