• Active and valid teaching license as required for Teachers of the Visually Impaired
• Experience or strong interest in working with students who are blind or have low vision
• Familiarity with Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive instructional techniques
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with classroom teachers, families, and other support staff
• A commitment to fostering a positive, accessible, and inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities Include:

• Designing and delivering specialized instruction tailored to students’ individual needs
• Assessing students’ abilities and developing appropriate instructional plans
• Teaching Braille, orientation and mobility skills, and the use of assistive devices
• Collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to support student success
• Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to the development of educational plans
• Monitoring and documenting progress to ensure achievement of educational goals
