Blazer Jobs is seeking a motivated new graduate Speech-Language Pathologist to begin a Clinical Fellowship in New Orleans, Louisiana. About the Position
The Clinical Fellow will provide speech and language services to students while receiving qualified supervision throughout the fellowship. This position offers opportunities to develop clinical independence, collaborate with educational teams, participate in IEPs, and support students with diverse communication needs.
Job Duties
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services
- Conduct screenings and assessments under appropriate supervision
- Develop individualized treatment and intervention strategies
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service professionals
- Implement evidence-based interventions for speech and language disorders
- Track required CF hours and maintain fellowship documentation
- Participate in scheduled CF supervision and mentoring
- Maintain compliance with applicable state, district, and federal requirements
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completion of required academic coursework and supervised clinical practicum
- Eligibility to begin an ASHA Clinical Fellowship
- Eligibility for the appropriate Louisiana SLP provisional/temporary licensure pathway for supervised practice
- Ability to meet Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology requirements
- Ability to obtain any required Louisiana Department of Education credential for school-based practice
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements
