PDS Tech Commercial is seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to support a world-class nutrition manufacturing facility in Aurora, IL. This role is ideal for skilled maintenance professionals with extensive experience in filling and packaging equipment and electromechanical troubleshooting who thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
You'll play a critical role in maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring safe, efficient manufacturing operations that support products improving health and wellness worldwide.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
Serve as a first responder for equipment downtime and production-related maintenance concerns.
Diagnose and resolve electromechanical issues on systems operating from 24VDC through 480VAC.
Maintain and repair equipment including:- Blenders
Utilize electrical testing equipment, including:- Voltmeters
Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, and control documentation.
Complete preventive maintenance activities and document work orders within CMMS systems.
Support equipment reliability initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment uptime and performance.
Perform equipment inspections and identify opportunities for preventive and corrective actions.
Assist in training and mentoring maintenance personnel and equipment operators.
Maintain compliance with safety regulations, GMP requirements, quality standards, and company policies.
Support root cause analysis investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
Contribute to a culture focused on safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Candidates must meet ALL of the following requirements to be considered.
EducationStrong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting abilities.
Experience with AC/DC motors, drives, wiring, and industrial control systems.
Ability to read and interpret:- Electrical schematics
Experience utilizing electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohm meters, and meggers.
Working knowledge of:- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Ability to perform PLC I/O troubleshooting and basic industrial network diagnostics.
