Make a difference in the lives of students in the San Juan Capistrano area as a Speech-Language Pathologist for one or more school-based assignments. This contract opportunity is available for three professionals to cover leaves of absence across preschool, elementary, and middle school settings. Engage daily with students who need your expertise and support, averaging about 55 students per SLP. These roles offer a high likelihood of extension through the full academic year, as the district frequently has ongoing needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current, active California SLP license
• Experience working in school settings preferred, but not required
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Adaptability to support a diverse student population

Typical Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy to students in preschool, elementary, or middle school
• Develop, implement, and update individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student progress
• Document services and maintain accurate records to support student growth
• Support students during critical educational transitions, contributing to a positive learning environment
