Step into a rewarding contract opportunity near Independence, MO, supporting students as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist through the academic year (August 24th - May 28th). In this onsite role, you'll work directly with students from elementary to high school across multiple campuses, helping them develop the essential skills for independence and daily living.
You’ll collaborate with a district known for comprehensive orientation and ongoing professional support. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding students—whether they are partially sighted or completely blind—in critical life skills such as safe independent travel, navigating public spaces, using mobility aids (like canes or guide dogs), and mastering practical tasks including reading Braille, managing money, and performing daily errands.
