Job Description

you will play a vital role in facilitating the inspection and inventory of vehicles as they arrive on site. This position involves using cutting-edge technology to ensure accurate vehicle documentation, supporting a global marketplace for commercial assets and vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections and take photographs of vehicles upon arrival.
• Perform inventory checks, noting the condition of glass, body panels, and basic interior components.
• Attempt to start vehicles and use a battery pack to jump-start when necessary.
• Utilize a handheld device similar to a tablet to enter vehicle information.
• Work independently in the yard with minimal supervision and communicate via handheld radio.

Essential Skills

• Experience using smartphones or tablets.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to identify vehicle components such as fenders, bumpers, hoods, and trunks.

Work Environment

This role is entirely outdoors, requiring work in all weather conditions. Safety gear and gloves are provided, but employees must supply their own attire, including jeans and boots. The environment is casual, and the team currently consists of eight members, with plans to expand. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime on Saturdays based on business needs. Breaks and lunch are indoors, and additional breaks are provided during severe weather. The yard is fenced, and the office features clean, open workstations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Dundee, IL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
