Position: Sonographer (General & Vascular) – Mobile Imaging

Location: Columbia, SC
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Shift: Days (8-hour shifts) with rotating weekends and holidays
Pay: $35.00–$43.00/hour

Responsibilities:

• Perform mobile ultrasound examinations using portable sonographic equipment.
• Travel to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home care settings, correctional facilities, and other healthcare locations throughout the assigned region.
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and electronically submit studies to a radiologist for interpretation.
• Verify physician orders and patient identification using two patient identifiers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete required billing paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and healthcare staff.
• Maintain company vehicle and ultrasound equipment.
• Work independently while managing a daily mobile schedule.

Note: This position may include ultrasound services at correctional facilities.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Current ARDMS or CCI registry required.
• Must hold General and Vascular credentials (examples include ARDMS: AB & RVT, CCI: RVS, or ARRT R.T.(VS).
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• COVID-19 vaccination required or approved medical/religious exemption.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and transport portable ultrasound equipment (approximately 20 lbs.).
• Frequent travel throughout the assigned territory.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move equipment during the workday.
