Multi Craft Maintenance Technician
Huntsville, AL
3rd shift 11:30p – 7:30am Sun-Thrs
Must train on 1st shift 7:30am – 3:30pm
$30-40 per hour based on experience
Kelly has partnered with a premiere client in Huntsville, AL and is seeking an experienced Multi Craft Maintenance Technicians to support manufacturing operations by ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of production equipment.
This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of industrial machinery and mechanical systems to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience working in a manufacturing environment, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
•Read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical blueprints.
•Install, commission, and maintain production machinery and equipment.
•Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, transmissions, and other production equipment.
•Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment failures.
•Inspect machinery and assess equipment functionality to identify maintenance needs.
•Adjust, align, and repair mechanical components utilizing hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
•Fabricate replacement parts and support machine modifications and upgrades as needed.
•Conduct routine maintenance inspections and safety audits.
•Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
•Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and repair documentation.
•Support facility improvement projects and equipment installations.
•Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
•Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
•Minimum 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
•Working knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and troubleshooting practices.
•Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with mechanical and electrical systems.
•Experience with motors, conveyor systems, transmissions, and production equipment maintenance.
•Proficiency with electrical testing equipment, diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.
•Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
•Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
•Ability to work flexible schedules and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
•Manufacturing facility environment.
•Exposure to hot, cold, noisy, and industrial conditions.
•Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
•Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces or at heights.
•Must be capable of safely performing physically demanding maintenance activities.
