This full-time role offers the chance to work with a small, focused caseload of 7-8 students in self-contained, multi-disability classrooms. Key Qualifications:
- Current Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education Teacher license required
- Experience supporting students with cognitive disabilities, learning disabilities, or autism preferred
- Previous work in self-contained or multi-disability classrooms desirable
- Ability to implement individualized education plans effectively
- Strong commitment to collaborative team teaching and fostering positive student relationships
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and manage a caseload of 7-8 students, mostly in Setting 2 & 3 environments
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to individual student goals
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, support staff, and families to deliver comprehensive support
- Utilize effective strategies to foster academic, social, and behavioral growth
- Maintain thorough documentation and monitor progress in compliance with school and state guidelines
