Join our team as a General Laborer where you will engage in various tasks primarily focused on preparing and assembling window displays for shipment. This role involves repetitive tasks that rotate to ensure variety in your daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Clean display windows and prepare them for shipment using cleaning agents such as Windex.
• Assemble window units for display using screw guns, bolting, and cordless drills.
• Perform minor painting and touch-ups to ensure displays are ready for shipment.
• Utilize tape measures and other hand tools for assembly and packaging tasks.
• Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed.
• Work collaboratively in teams for tasks requiring more than one person, especially for lifting items over 50 lbs.

Essential Skills

• Strong attention to detail and a quality-driven mindset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and more with team assistance.
• Willingness to fulfill a contract for 3-6 months.
• Basic knowledge of tools such as cordless drills, saws, nail guns, and wrenches.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ months of shop experience, preferably in a wood-type shop, is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a shop environment.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome, as long as they are familiar with cordless screwdrivers or similar tools.

Work Environment

The work takes place in an open and organized job shop environment. Team members work independently or in small groups of 7-8, depending on the task at hand. The dress code includes t-shirts, jeans, and work boots (no tennis shoes), and necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided on the first day. Standard working hours are from 6am to 2:30pm, with potential for extra hours extending to 4:30pm. A second shift is available from 2:30pm to 1am, Monday through Thursday, with additional hours on Fridays. Candidates must be willing to work overtime when required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Afton, MN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Afton,MN.
