The Tow Truck Operator is responsible for recovering and transporting vehicles of all types, including passenger cars, trucks, buses, and motorcycles, across rural, suburban, and urban areas. Operating primarily as a solo operator in coordination with a dispatcher, this role requires strong customer service, safety compliance, and mechanical knowledge to perform roadside assistance, vehicle securing, and equipment operation efficiently. The position often involves shift work, flexible scheduling, and on-call duties, requiring excellent communication and problem-solving skills to manage incidents and ensure timely service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently
• Operate towing and recovery equipment in various conditions
• Provide roadside assistance to stranded motorists
• Deliver excellent customer service and clear communication
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
• Prepare and submit incident and service reports accurately
• Secure vehicles properly for transport
• Navigate to service locations using maps or GPS
• Maintain regular communication with dispatchers
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on tow truck equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in vehicle recovery operations
• DOT Med Certification
• Experience operating heavy vehicles
