We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, specializing in servicing heavy trucks. Reporting to the Shop Manager, this role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems without requiring travel. The ideal candidate will ensure equipment reliability through expert mechanical work and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine repairs and diagnostics on heavy trucks
• Maintain and repair hydraulic and electrical systems
• Conduct welding and parts replacement as needed
• Carry out preventive maintenance checks
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Maintain accurate service and repair records

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in diesel mechanics
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) – optional
• Proficient in diesel engine repair, hydraulic and electrical systems
• Skilled in vehicle diagnostics, welding, and preventive maintenance
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
