Overview: Under the supervision of the Senior Managing Director Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of duties that support the overall functions of the organization. Ensuring that HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented and adhered to according to labor laws and employment regulations. Managing various HR activities, from recruitment and onboarding to benefits administration and employee records management.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate physical and digital records (contracts, performance reviews, leaves of absence, etc.)
- Processing new-hire paperwork, verifying eligibility, coordinating orientations, and managing exit procedures.
- Act as the first line of support for HR-related questions, routing complex issues to HR leadership.
- Process data (e.g., timesheets, sick days, benefit changes) to assist payroll and benefits administration.
- Updating and maintaining accurate employee personnel records in the company’s HRIS.
- Answering staff questions regarding company policies, benefits, and general employment verification.
- Administering health insurance enrollments, tracking paid time off, and gathering data for payroll processing.
- Post job openings, schedule interviews, and track applicant data in the ATS.
- Ensuring personnel files are legally compliant and handling sensitive company data with strict confidentiality and discretion.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate employee training and development programs.
- Manage HR communications and announcements within the organization.
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in in Human Resources Management or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources functions, Healthcare Environment preferred.
- A high degree of confidentiality and discretion is required.
- Incumbent must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must able to handle multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
- Must be flexible, dependable, and a quick learner.
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and preferred knowledge of Microsoft Access).
