Key Responsibilities:

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare work surfaces by removing rust, paint, corrosion, and debris.
• Select appropriate blasting materials and equipment for each job.
• Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met.
• Set up, maintain, and clean blasting equipment and work areas.
• Follow safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
• Assist with painting, coating, or finishing processes as needed.
• Report equipment malfunctions and perform basic maintenance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in sandblasting, industrial painting, construction, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to operate industrial equipment safely.
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and abrasive materials.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and varying weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
