Medical Center Hospital Health Kids Clinic is seeking a compassionate, highly skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to provide comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare services to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions while promoting wellness, prevention, and healthy development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care services, including health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
- Conduct well-child exams, developmental screenings, and annual physicals.
- Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and imaging results.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with Texas state regulations and clinic protocols.
- Administer immunizations and ensure compliance with pediatric vaccination schedules.
- Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention, nutrition, growth and development, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and community resources to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
- Promote a positive patient experience through exceptional customer service and compassionate care.
- Support clinic operations and assist with policy and procedure development as needed.
