Warehouse support(Material handler/Inventory)
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Job Type: Contract
Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift available
Job Summary
We are seeking a Warehouse support(Material handler/Inventory) to support daily warehouse and manufacturing operations in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking materials while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, material handling, or inventory control, along with experience using SAP and Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine monthly inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Issue materials to production work orders according to established procedures.
- Receive materials from suppliers and ensure proper documentation.
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage locations to support efficient material flow.
- Pick, store, move, and handle materials safely and efficiently.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure all materials comply with established safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following 5S principles.
- Follow company procedures, policies, and work instructions.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and material flow.
- Perform inventory and material transactions using SAP.
- Use Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams for daily communication and documentation.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and related material documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, material handling, or inventory control.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management, including counting, picking, storing, and handling materials.
- Experience operating SAP or another ERP/inventory management system.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to read and understand basic blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience performing cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Experience with SAP inventory transactions.
- Knowledge of warehouse organization and material flow.
- Experience with 5S or continuous improvement initiatives.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely perform material handling activities.
