We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Johnson City, TN. This position is responsible for picking, preparing, moving, and shipping materials and customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on their feet and regularly lifting to 50 lbs. Forklift experience is preferred but not required; training is available.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

Responsibilities

- Pick materials and accurately pull customer orders.

- Read order slips, labels, tickets, and product documentation.

- Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.

- Load, unload, and move materials within or near the worksite.

- Fill orders and issue materials and supplies as requested.

- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts, hand trucks, and dollies.

- Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.

- Assist with receiving and putting away materials.

- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

- Work independently while following established procedures and safety guidelines.

Requirements

- Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred.

- Forklift experience preferred, but not required — willing to train.

- Ability to frequently lift, push, carry, and slide packages weighing up to 50 lbs.

- Ability to accurately read order slips, labels, tickets, and other documentation.

- Basic math skills and ability to accurately count materials.

- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

- Ability to work in various temperatures.

- Ability to stand and move throughout the warehouse for the duration of the shift.

- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.

- Must be at least 18 years old.

- Must have steel-toe shoes.

Equipment

Experience with sit-down or stand-up forklifts is a plus. Other equipment may include pallet jacks, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts, hand trucks, and dollies.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on warehouse position. The work environment can be dusty or dirty, so employees should be prepared to work in those conditions. Employees are expected to maintain a safe, clean, organized, and positive work environment.
