Field Machine Technician

Location: Georgetown, KY (with 40%+ Travel)

Travel Destinations: US (IN, MS, TX), Canada, Mexico, and Japan

Role Summary

We are looking for a versatile Field Machine Technician to manage the installation, maintenance, and technical coordination of advanced industrial paint systems. You will serve as the primary link between our international parent company and local customer sites, ensuring equipment—from conveyor systems to paint booths—is installed and functioning to spec.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Coordination: Lead on-site inspections and meetings for paint booths, ovens, and e-coat systems.
• Technical Liaison: Translate customer requirements into technical proposals; coordinate work between international supervisors and local contractors.
• Construction Oversight: Manage on-site installation schedules and provide clear instructions to subcontractors.
• Estimation & Logistics: Request quotes from vendors, manage shipping arrangements, and oversee project cost controls.

Technical Qualifications

• Engineering Basics: Ability to read psychrometric charts and calculate pressure loss in ducts/piping.
• Mechanical Knowledge: Familiarity with sheet metal, welding, and material processing.
• Equipment Selection: Experience selecting industrial pumps, fans, and valves based on design conditions.
• Software: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.

Requirements

• Flexibility: Willingness to work nights and weekends as project deadlines require.
• Mobility: Ability to travel 40% or more, including international trips.
• Language: Japanese language skills are a significant plus.
• Growth: Eagerness to learn proprietary in-house technologies.
