Field Service Technician – CNC Machine Repair
Location: Eastern Pennsylvania Territory
Travel: Approximately 100% regional travel across Eastern PA, Southern NJ, Maryland, and Delaware

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machinery at customer sites throughout the Eastern Pennsylvania territory. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and CNC controls experience and be comfortable working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, align, calibrate, and test CNC machines at customer facilities.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, PLC, and CNC control issues.
- Troubleshoot CNC controls including FANUC, Mazak, Okamoto, or similar platforms.
- Service multi-axis machines, CNC lathes, and vertical/horizontal machining centers.
- Perform preventative maintenance and machine repairs.
- Provide on-site training to customer operators and maintenance personnel.
- Complete service reports, parts documentation, and job summaries.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory.
- Build strong customer relationships through professional and reliable service.
- Coordinate with internal service teams and OEM contacts to resolve technical issues.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on CNC equipment service experience.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, PLC, motors, drives, and CNC control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Experience with FANUC, Mazak, Okamoto, or similar CNC controls strongly preferred.
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight stays.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with industrial automation, robotics, pallet changers, or related systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and digital service documentation tools.
- CNC machine installation, alignment, calibration, or commissioning experience.
