Job Summary

The Asphalt Laborer is responsible for supporting paving and road construction projects by preparing sites, handling asphalt materials, and assisting with the installation and finishing of asphalt surfaces. This position requires manual labor, teamwork, adherence to safety protocols, and a willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Duties

• Assist in preparing job sites and materials for asphalt paving.
• Load, unload, and transport asphalt and paving materials.
• Spread, level, and compact asphalt using hand tools and machinery.
• Operate equipment such as wheelbarrows, shovels, tampers, and rollers.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and job sites.
• Support traffic control and ensure worksite safety.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and work effectively as part of a construction team.
• Comply with company and industry safety regulations and standards.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of previous experience in Asphalt construction or manual labor.
• Valid driver’s license (as required by site or project).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.

Pay and Benefits

• Full-Time, W-2 Employment
• Starting pay: $18 an hour, depending on experience
