Upon acceptance of offer, we will coordinate new hire paperwork and pre-employment substance abuse screening (Drug Free Employer). **Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:** - Perform daily jobsite safety meetings and enforce company safety standards. - Supervise daily milling and asphalt paving operations on heavy civil construction projects. - Lead and coordinate paving crew to safely meet production goals. - Plan daily work assignments and ensure crews have the equipment and materials needed. - Coordinate with Superintendents, Project Managers, truck dispatch, subcontractors, and plant personnel. - Monitor paving quality, grade, smoothness, and compaction to meet project specifications. - Assist with scheduling equipment, trucking, and manpower. - Read plans, grades, and project specifications. - Identify and solve field issues while maintaining productivity. - Train and mentor crew members while promoting teamwork and accountability. **Required Qualifications:** - 5+ years of asphalt paving or heavy highway construction experience. - Previous experience as a Paving Foreman, Lead Person, General Foreman, or equivalent leadership role. - Strong understanding of: o Asphalt paving operations o Milling operations o Roadway reconstruction o Asphalt placement and compaction o Production scheduling o Traffic control and work zone safety - Ability to lead crews in a fast-paced environment. - Experience operating or working alongside paving equipment is highly preferred. - Ability to read construction plans and specifications. - Valid driver's license. **Preferred Experience** Candidates with experience in the following are encouraged to apply: - NYSDOT highway projects - Milling and resurfacing - Interstate paving - Municipal roadway reconstruction - Night paving operations - Airport paving - Commercial paving - Full-depth roadway reconstruction **Compensation:** Competitive wage commensurate with experience.
