BUSINESS PROCESS ACCOUNTANT

We are seeking an accountant with demonstrated leadership skills, experience leading & driving process improvements, automation initiatives, succession planning, and strengthening internal controls.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provides guidance & leadership transitioning to electronic processes, digitizing documents & records, completing a fully integrated HRIS for HR processes & employee engagement
Works closely with accounting and IT to resolve systemic issues and optimize workflows with the transition to fully automated processes
In collaboration with CFO & Senior Management, develop and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness of internal operations, developing budgets, organizational charts, planning and implementing KPI’s, mapping workflows, developing internal audits, identifying and minimizing redundancies
Assists with the transition to centralized inventory management, analyze data & offer guidance to achieve desired results. Investigate inventory variances, initiate random inventory counts.
Initiates cross-training and succession planning for key positions and critical processes
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting & experience in a leadership role, preferably in a sales & service industry in a dealership environment working cross- functionally with all departments with internal processes & audits, strong attention to detail; critical thinking & reasoning skills, strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls. Experience with CDK software a +.
Success is dependent upon observing and understanding the many facets of the business; in addition to working closely with senior management, will work with each department asking questions, observing work- flow, formulating plans to document procedures, improve efficiencies & minimize redundancies & strengthen internal controls.
Business hours: Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. with longer hours as necessary.
