This is a 6-month salaried temporary assignment based on-site in El Centro, California.
Local Imperial Valley / El Centro-area candidates only; this role is not remote or relocation-based.
Primary Function
Under general supervision performs project assignments and analyzes business functions to determine computer system application requirements, and improve business processes, application design, tests, implementation and provides documentation to implement and supports a functional business area. Performs other duties as assigned.
Distinguishing Characteristics
The Field Service Engineer/ BA is the entry-level classification of the Business Analyst series, which performs application planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation and support.
Progression to the next level will depend on vacant positions at the higher level.
The incumbent is the liaison for a functional business area and the Information Technology Department and is required to understand in depth functions, processes and applications of at least one business area.

Education
Experience
Progressively responsible directly related experience may be substituted for the required education at the ratio of two years of experience for one year of education required.
Licensing
A valid driver license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles is required.

Knowledge
Configuring and supporting applications; standard or query reporting programs; business process design; personal computer hardware and software such as Microsoft Office, Visio, and any other I/T tools within a network environment; system application process or enterprise resource planning package; individual or group training principles and practices; and safe work methods.
