ABOUT EMPLOYMENT
We're looking for a driven, knowledgeable Commercial Insurance Producer to join a growing Farmers agency and help expand its commercial book across the DFW market.
This is an opportunity for a true producer who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, advising business owners, and closing new business — while having the support needed to focus on what you do best: selling.
If you're licensed, experienced in commercial insurance, and motivated by production and earning potential, this could be your next great opportunity. What You'll Do
New Business Development
- Build and maintain a targeted prospect list based on industry, geography, and business profile.
- Develop and manage a consistent prospecting strategy.

- CPAs
- Attorneys
- Bankers
- Bonding agents
- Business professionals
- Industry associations
- Identify commercial opportunities within existing Personal Lines relationships.
- Develop referrals from producers, service team members, and existing clients.
- Represent the agency at chamber events, trade associations, networking events, and community functions.
- Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline with accurate stages, opportunity values, and expected close dates.
- Follow up consistently with prospects and manage opportunities through the full sales cycle.
Commercial Risk & Coverage Advisory

- Analyze exposures related to:
- Business operations
- Payroll
- Class codes
- Fleet
- Property values
- Contracts

- Identify gaps in a prospect's existing insurance program.
- Help clients understand their exposures and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
- Develop insurance programs based on the client's overall risk — not simply the lowest premium.
- Advise clients on appropriate coverage limits, deductibles, exclusions, and risk considerations.
Commercial Products
You'll work with a range of Commercial Lines products, including:
- Business Owners Policies (BOP)
- Commercial General Liability (CGL)
- Commercial Property
- Commercial Auto
- Workers' Compensation

Experience across multiple commercial lines is important because you'll be expected to understand the client's overall risk profile and recommend an appropriate insurance program.
Submissions & Closing
- Gather complete submission information, including:
- ACORD applications
- Supplemental applications
- Loss runs
- Financial information
- Exposure information
- Other required documentation
- Prepare accurate and complete submissions.
- Submit accounts through the appropriate Farmers commercial platform.
- Work directly with underwriters regarding:
- Terms

- Credits
- Coverage
- Prepare professional proposals comparing coverage, limits, deductibles, exclusions, and overall cost of risk.
- Present proposals to owners, controllers, CFOs, and other decision-makers.
- Lead prospects through the sales process from initial conversation through signature and binding.
- Coordinate premium financing, down payments, and required documentation.
- Ensure accurate binding within granted authority.
- Maintain complete and audit-ready account documentation.
Account Growth & Client Relationships
While this is primarily a sales and production-focused role, you'll also play an important role in developing long-term relationships with the clients you bring in.
You'll:
- Develop renewal strategies for your book.
- Conduct exposure reviews and identify changing business needs.
- Conduct annual stewardship reviews.
- Identify opportunities for additional coverage.
- Review claims activity and experience modification trends when applicable.
- Recommend changes to insurance programs as the client's business evolves.
