Hours: 15 hours weekly, part-time.

Classification: Part-time
Compensation: $16,000 to $18,000 annually, based on experience

WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
Most people decide whether they will come back before anyone preaches a word. They decide it in the parking lot, at the door, and in the first ninety seconds inside the building.
We have first-time guests every Sunday. Some of them are visiting a church for the first time in years. Some have never been.
This is a volunteer leadership role. Sunday morning runs on about [50] volunteers across nine teams. Your job is to make sure every one of those spots is filled by someone who is trained, scheduled, and glad to be there.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead the Sunday Morning Experience
- Own the guest experience from the parking lot to the seat
- Oversee Sunday morning teams: Ambassadors, Greeters, Ushers, Parking, Coffee, Communion, Donuts, Security, and Offering
- Ensure setup and teardown of hospitality spaces and supplies
- Monitor parking placement and flow for safety and accessibility
- Ensure connection cards and first-time guest information are collected and routed to the ministry team the same day
- Coordinate parking lot treatment in inclement weather
Recruit and Develop Volunteers
- Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers across all hospitality teams
- Maintain a volunteer roster with enough depth that no team runs short
- Ensure every hospitality volunteer completes a background check
- Hold regular gatherings for training, vision, prayer, and encouragement
- Pray with and spiritually encourage volunteers, and build a culture of joy and service
- Cast vision for hospitality as a ministry of the church, not a set of tasks
Coordinate Safety
- Collaborate with the security team and off-duty officers
- Ensure volunteers know entry points, protocols, and their role in the church emergency response plan
- Participate in emergency drills and training as scheduled
- Communicate hospitality plans that affect safety and access
Ensure Access for Everyone
- Maintain accessible parking, entry, and seating
- Coordinate assistance for guests with mobility, hearing, or other needs
Own Signage and Wayfinding
- Maintain interior and exterior signage so a first-time guest can find the auditorium, kids check-in, and restrooms without asking
- Update materials and signage through the rebrand and the building transition
- Signage design and production are approved by the Executive Pastor and produced with the creative team
Support Special Services and Events
- Plan and lead hospitality for baptisms, membership classes, Christmas Eve, Easter, vision nights, and ministry fairs
- Coordinate hospitality for funerals, weddings, and memorial services
- Support all-church events as assigned
Manage Administration and Supplies
- Maintain schedules, rosters, and volunteer communication
- Track and record weekly attendance and report to the Executive Pastor
- Track supply inventory and place orders within the approved budget
- Submit receipts and stay within the approved hospitality budget
- Coordinate with the facilities team on setup, cleaning, and maintenance needs
