We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Facilities Technician to support our active manufacturing facility. In this role, you will maintain plant reliability, execute facility repairs, and support continuous improvement projects across our production floors and climate-controlled warehouse.
This role requires a blend of general facility maintenance and practical machine shop capabilities (operating Mills, Lathes, and Surface Grinders) to fabricate parts, modify equipment, and keep our manufacturing environment running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant utility systems, facility infrastructure, and production support equipment.
- Utilize machine shop equipment (Mill, Lathe, Surface Grinder) to make, modify, or repair facility fixtures, brackets, and equipment components.
- Partner with Engineering and Production teams to implement ergonomic improvements, machine guarding, and safety enhancements across the facility.
- Identify and procure materials, tools, and hardware required for facilities projects and repairs.
- Assist in setting up and releasing new or modified equipment to the floor, ensuring proper usage instructions and safety sign-offs are complete.
- Maintain safety protocols, handle required PPE, and assist with routine facility documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on facility or industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated practical ability to safely operate machine shop equipment, including a Mill, Lathe, and Surface Grinder.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; AA/AS degree, Trade School certification, or completed apprenticeship preferred.
- Proficiency with basic hand/power tools, measurement equipment, and familiar with standard safety protocols (Lockout/Tagout, SDS). Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) for logging work.
- Willingness and ability to work scheduled overtime, including Saturdays, as driven by production demands.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Split between production floor areas and a climate-controlled/air-conditioned warehouse. Exposure to standard manufacturing elements (metals, lubricants, solvents, noise).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, bend, reach, and safely navigate an active industrial facility.
